In this assignment, you will propose a quality improvement initiative from your place of employment that could easily be implemented if approved.

My improvement process is to convert Nurse Team Leader into a Charge Nurse role in the Surgical Recovery department with increased responsibility. Currently the team leader review daily assignment, take a patient assignment and make sure peers are getting their lunches and breaks. I would like to increase responsibility as a charge nurse to allow autonomy to lead the team, guide the flow without having a patient assignment, assign patient care to team equally to eliminate staff for holding one patient for an extended length of time and not receiving their fair share of the patient load. Managing bed control for patients admitted post recovery, etc.
