Health Promotion Plan Week 3

Health Promotion Plan Week 3

After reviewing the Reading & Study for Module/Week 3, complete the following:

Identify 1 health topic that is of relevance to overall population health and would also be of importance to you based on your current nursing practice. The topic should be NUTRITION

The topic selected will serve as the basis for developing a health education program content outline for the population selected.

Refer to the models (Health Promotion, Health Belief, Theory of Reasoned Action, Social Cognitive, Trans-theoretical, Social Ecological, Precede-Proceed, Diffusion of Innovation, Social Marketing) discussed in Module/Week 1 that may provide a framework to guide the plan.

Include any assessment data/information that could potentially drive the need/rationale for the program selected.

Reference the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) competencies and identify those competencies (quality improvement, safety, informatics, teamwork and collaboration, and evidence-based practice) that would support/be relevant to the development and implementation of the health promotion plan.

Identify the target audience for the program (recipients of the program).

Use the 9 steps of the health process to support the development of your program outline.

Be very detailed in the development of this outline. Refer to resources that are provided and that are related to the content outline development. You will use this assignment as a frame of reference for the development of the concept paper at the end of the course.

The assignment should be 6 pages in length, incorporate 5 resources that are no more than 5 years old, and conform to APA style. Submit the assignment to SafeAssign by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 3.

You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.

Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.

Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.

The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument. Get homework help here
