Select a patient (whose culture and nationality is not the same as yours) and use the Cultural Assessment Tool attached below to guide you in assessing their culture and beliefs about health/illness. This portion of the assignment should help you gain insights about an individual, avoid stereotypes, and assist you in providing individualized, non-judgmental care. Stick to the cultural questions as much as possible. It is understandable if you or your interviewee may wish to defer a sensitive question or two. If this is the case, please make sure to acknowledge this omission in your write-up. Your assessment should be written as an APA paper. This includes a title page, level-one and two headings, in-text citations, and a reference page. Pelase use your APA manuel. There are previous student examples for your reference, but they may not have the proper APA format. Be sure that your “patient” is someone vastly different than yourself with regards to a different culture and background.
