Evaluation Plan
Evaluation is the last step in the implementation of evidence-based practice projects in healthcare institutions. Evaluation aims at providing information about the effectiveness of the project in achieving its outcomes. It also assesses the effectiveness of the methods that were adopted to achieve the project outcomes. Evaluation data should be communicated to the project implementers to ensure that they understand improvement strategies needed to enhance further success of the project. Therefore, this paper explores the evaluation approach that would be utilized in the proposed project.
Expected Outcomes
The proposed evidence-based practice project will aim at achieving a number of objectives. One of them will be to increase the level of knowledge among preoperative healthcare providers about the health effects and reducing their exposure to surgical smoke. It is expected that the preoperative healthcare providers will adopt effective interventions that aim at reducing their exposure to surgical smoke. Data Collection Tools
Questionnaires will be used for the collection of data from the preoperative healthcare providers. The questionnaires will be self-administered. They will assess the level of knowledge of the preoperative healthcare providers on issues related to the prevention of surgical smoke in their settings. The questionnaires will also assess their skills and practices related to health promotion on issues associated with surgical smoke. Questionnaires are ideal for the project due to the ease of their administration, accuracy of data collection, and ease in data analysis. Questionnaires have a high level of reliability, as it will measure the consistency of the intervention among the participants. They also, as they will enable the determination of whether the experiences of the preoperative healthcare providers align with those reported in other studies that have investigated the use of the proposed intervention (Hopp & Rittenmeyer, 2021). Statistical Test
