Many of us, including myself get caught up in a very fast lifestyle. Especially being in the medical field we can get use to seeing the same schedule weekly. We often get trapped in the routine we forget to give ourselves a break. We critically think all day, and get lost in our thoughts. It can get to the best of us and start to make us overthink and carry that attitude with us as the days pass. We must critical think of what we can do to make everyday great. That can be in the shower, taking a 10 minute walk, or even talking to a loved one to self-reflect.
Positive thinking is a mental attitude that runs our thoughts, choices and decisions. It is up to us to decide whether or not a negative thought will run free or will we be able to run it with positive thinking. By changing our mindset, we become just that. Your thoughts control and decide nearly everything that transpires. We are, what we think. The Law of Attraction says that you invariably attract into your life the people, ideas, opportunities, and circumstances in harmony with your dominant thoughts.
The most harmful beliefs that you can have are your self-limiting beliefs. These are beliefs about you and your potential that hold you back. Most of them are not true.
We doubt ourselves because as humans we compare ourselves to others in where they stand career wise, material and more. Material wise can include “she got a new car and is financing a house at the age of 24, I am still with my parents in my car from high school.” Comparison can cause a stop in our success by not encouraging us to keep with our journey. We all have obstacles and that’s what makes our journey special from others. Instead of comparing in a negative way, see that as motivation to keep going. Everything can be seen in a good or bad perspective.
We must also set the right expectations to yourself so we don’t disappoint ourselves. Anything in life is attainable but if you set yourself up with unattainable goals in a short time frame, it can bring a lot of stress. Which will dwell you from going on with your goals because you will sit back and think of that one goal that wasn’t followed on time. By doing realistic goals, once one is met, it will push you forward for more goals and serve you as motivation.
You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.
Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.

Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.
The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.
